An independent travel agent based in the North West has ceased trading, following on from several small UK travel firms which have all gone under this year.

Usher Travel Worldchoice follows on from Balkan Holidays Ltd (April 2025), Jetline Travel (March 2025) , and Greater Little Escapes LLP (June 2025) who’ve all stopped trading this year.

The firm, based in Wallasey, Merseyside, shut up shop on October 16, 2025, the Mirror reports . ABTA, the UK's largest travel association that offers financial protection to holidaymakers, said: “We are now treating this company as a financial failure.”

Director Gavin Morton, who has been with the business for 35 of the 60 Usher was trading, described the decision to close as "quite literally one of the most heartbreaking moments"
