While Little Compton is usually a pretty quiet town, hundreds crowded into the Town Commons Saturday to peacefully protest actions taken by the Trump administration for the national No Kings Day.
Protestors, like others who came out in Tiverton for another rally, showed up at noon, holding signs that depict Trump as a king, a tyrant and instructed readers to “Honk if you have a moral compass." Some held signs depicting their parents and grandparents during World War Two, referring to themselves as “proud second generation anti-fascists.”
Pat Schneider, who helped organize the day, said around 150 people were expected. However, within the first few minutes, it was clear that the number was much larger, with around 500 people attending. The large group walked around the Commons, chanti
