PATNA: Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor on Tuesday accused the top BJP leadership of coercing and intimidating his party candidates out of fear of losing the upcoming Bihar assembly elections scheduled for next month.
Speaking to the media, Kishor alleged that three Jan Suraaj Party candidates withdrew their nominations under threat, family pressure, or allurement from the Gopalganj, Danapur, and Brahmapur assembly seats on the last date for withdrawal.
The political strategist-turned-activist claimed that senior physician Dr. Shashi Sekhar Sinha abruptly withdrew his nomination from Gopalganj Sadar, citing health reasons. This decision surprised local political circles, as Sinha had actively campaigned for three days.
