Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the BJP, alleging that three of his party’s candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections withdrew their nominations under “pressure” from the ruling party.

Speaking to reporters, Kishor directly named Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, claiming they obstructed his candidates from contesting.

Kishor alleged that in Danapur, his candidate Mutur Shah could not file his nomination after being “kept” by Amit Shah, dismissing BJP claims that Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Ritlal Yadav was responsible. “Our candidate was last seen with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Where is the Election Commission now? Why is no action being taken?” he asked.
