LEBANON, Maine — A New Hampshire man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 52-year-old man Monday afternoon in Lebanon, Maine, according to the York County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to a home on West Lebanon Road around 2 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. While responding, deputies learned there had been a stabbing and that the victim had left the residence to seek medical help, the sheriff's office said.

A deputy located the victim on Carl Broggi Highway and called for rescue crews. The man had multiple stab wounds to his chest, face, back, and head and was taken to Maine Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
