A pardoned Capitol rioter has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries while he spoke at a New York event.

Christopher Moynihan, 34, allegedly said in a text that he would “eliminate” the Brooklyn Democrat during his Monday speech at the Economic Club of New York, according to a court filing seen by CBS News .

“Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC I cannot allow this terrorist to live,” Moynihan, who was pardoned nine months ago by President Trump, allegedly wrote in the message. 4

“Even if I am hated, he must be eliminated,” he also allegedly stated, according to the filing. ” I will kill him for the future.”
