The man behind several incidents on the walking trails at the Waterford Ponds was released in the summer after a stint in hospital and jail helped get necessary medications sorted out.
Marcus Johnson, 54, pleaded guilty to assault and two counts of criminal harassment involving women who were walking the trails in Waterford.
At one point during his custody, Johnson was found unfit to deal with his charges but, said his defence lawyer, getting him on proper medication made a big difference in his behaviour after it was determined he likely is dealing with schizophrenia.
After police issued information about an investigation into Johnson, they warned trail users to “stay vigilant” when out walking and carry a cell phone to contact police in case of suspicious activity.
