Keeping services open

Two local organizations stepped in to help fund Choice Family Health Care so they can continue their program to help identify and reduce STIs. The Bud & Gloria Wolbach Foundation as well as the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation are giving financial support to the central Nebraska nonprofit.

They not only help assist with STI testing, but they also provide breast and cervical screening, women’s annual exams, basic infertility services, preconception health services, and more. King said nonprofits across the country, including in Grand Island, are facing challenges with grants they use up in the air in terms of if they will or won’t get funding.
