The rain won't be as heavy as the rain that fell Monday, which brought close to 2 inches of rain in some parts of the state.

Before the rain arrives, Tuesday will be dry and sunny with temperatures in the 60s.

"The rain will start to move in by 11 p.m. toward the Berkshires, but it is slow to shift east. For Worcester County, the rain will approach by 3 a.m. and for Boston, it is closer to 5 a.m.," Cicalese said.

The rain will linger and there's a chance of showers through about 3 p.
