ROCHESTER, Minn.- Mayo Clinic debuted a new facility dog that has been working on its St. Marys Campus for the past few months on Monday, Oct. 20.

Bueller, a 3 year old black labarador retriever was trained by Can Do Canines at the Federal Corrections Institution in Waseca and at the Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment facility.

According to MacKenzie Moore, Mayo nurse manager, Bueller is the fourth dog to be trained to help out at the campus.

She says he has been trained with over 50 tricks to help patients feel comfortable at its Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit to make sure children and their families can feel comfortable while during care.

She says he can give hugs, do tricks, go for joint walks with his handler and even encourage children to use their laundry hamp
