GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Two bridges in the Upstate area of South Carolina are closed for repairs.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation closed the Cooper Bridge Road near Pierce Cook Road in Spartanburg County for roadway repairs beginning Oct. 20.

This closure is expected to last until November.

The detour is as follows:

Eastbound traffic on Coachman Drive or Cooper Bridge Road in Laurens County will follow Cooper Bridge Road south to SC-418 and turn left, driving back into Spartanburg County, then turn left onto River Road, and head north back to Cooper Bridge Road.

Westbound traffic on Cooper Bridge Road in Spartanburg County will turn left onto River Road, then right onto SC-418 into Laurens County, then turn right onto Cooper Bridge Road.
