BOSTON (WPRI) — Brad Marchand is back in Boston.

Tuesday night's game will be the first time he takes on the Bruins since he was traded to the Florida Panthers.

He's been in town since the trade, but Marchand said he expects it'll be a bit emotional before the puck drops at TD Garden.

"It'll be hard not to," he told reporters on Monday. "There are too many memories and I was here too long for it not to."

The two teams did play each other after the trade, but Marchand didn't lace up his skates because he was injured.

"I think the closest I got to being on the other side was when I was with Team Canada playing against Team USA. Even that was a little bit different in the way that it felt," Marchand said.
