ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - All lanes on I-20 eastbound in DeKalb County were blocked on Tuesday morning due to a deadly crash, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
Just after 3:10 a.m., GDOT reported that all lanes on I-20 E before Panola Road (Exit 17) were blocked. The road reopened at around 5:45 a.m.
According to DeKalb County police, a woman in her 30s was driving a sedan when she hit the back of a tractor-trailer that had stopped due to construction. The car ended up in the center lane, where it was then struck by another vehicle.
The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
