HOMER — The Homer City Council voted Monday, Oct. 13, to move forward with two city-owned downtown properties as the preferred location for a future multi-use community recreation center.

Resolution 25-088 formally identifies the lots — Tract 38A of the Homer FAA Site Subdivision and Lot 7-A of the Nils O. Svedlund Subdivision — as the city’s choice site for the long-envisioned facility. Both parcels are located in Homer’s Town Center area behind Alice’s Champagne Palace and have been previously studied as possible civic development sites.
