COBB COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man is facing charges after being involved in a hit-and-run in Cobb County that resulted in a person’s death, according to police.

The collision happened on Terrell Mill Road, just north of its intersection with Bentley Road, on Monday after 7 p.m.

Police said 36-year-old Roubins Francois of Marietta was hit in the center turn lane by a 2014 Ford Escape while he was trying to cross the road “outside of a marked crosswalk.” According to officers, the Ford’s driver left the scene.

Francois was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, where he died.

As the investigation went on, police identified the driver as 28-year-old Kunta Green of Marietta. Patrol officers found him at his home and arrested him.
