EUCLID, Ohio — A Euclid police officer came to the rescue of a baby kitten who was in the middle of a "cat-astrophe" last week.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, on Oct. 18, Officer Marcus Wolk responded to what officials referred to as a "purrplexing call." A motorist believed the kitten was stuck inside her car engine.

"Sure enough, a tiny black-and-white furball (about 4–6 weeks old) was meowing from under the hood. With his little black mask-like markings around his eyes, this feline fugitive looked like a furry bandit mid-heist. We’re not saying he tried to steal the car… but he was definitely caught red-pawed," police said in the post.
