Television personality Joe Swash has spoken frankly about his journey into fatherhood, disclosing the poignant circumstances that left him "desperate" to become a parent whilst still young.

The 43-year-old became a dad for the first time at just 24 when his former partner Emma Sophocleous gave birth to their son Harry, now 18.

Admitting he was "grossly underprepared" for parenthood, he recently shared with the BBC that there was virtually no support available for someone in his circumstances back then.

At 24, most people are still figuring out their own lives, yet Joe - who is now wed to ex-X Factor star Stacey Solomon - discovered he had precious few resources to rely upon.
