KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - October is Pedestrian Safety Month and the Oct. 19 through Oct. 25 is also National Teen Driver Safety Week.
It stands as a great reminder that we share the road with everyday walkers and inexperienced drivers.
According to the Tennessee Department of Health, car crashes are the leading cause of death for Tennessee teens. That’s why officials with the National Road Safety Foundation and the Students Against Destructive Decisions said it’s a great time for parents and guardians to have a conversation with their teens about safe driving habits.
