BOVILL, Idaho — On Monday, Oct. 20, an Idaho Fish and Game truck, carrying roughly 3,000 rainbow trout , rolled on Highway 8.
The incident, which occurred near the town of Bovill, killed all the trout on board.
Idaho Fish and Game (IDFG) said the accident was non-fatal for the driver of the tanker truck. The driver was able to walk away with minor injuries after losing control of the tanker and rolling the vehicle.
No other vehicles or property were damaged in this incident, according to IDFG's news release .
The tanker truck was headed to Elk Creek Reservoir, where the 3,000 catchable-sized trout were going to go.
Managers with Idaho Fish and Game's Clearwater Region are adjusting stocking efforts, so Elk Creek Reservoir will still be stocked for anglers this fall.
