Tamil Nadu reported heavy rainfall on Tuesday with the Regional Meteorological Centre issuing red alert for four districts along the coast for Wednesday. This comes after a low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, around 400 km from Chennai.
On October 22, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Villupuram and Chengalpattu are under red alert. The Union Territory of Puducherry will also be under red alert.
