AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Passengers are safe after a plane experienced landing issues at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.

Amarillo Fire Department crews responded to the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport around 11 a.m.

A King Air inbound for Amarillo reported a problem with landing gear coming down.

Fire crews reported smoke in the cabin but no fire.

Two passengers on board were able to exit safely.

The NTSB and FAA have been notified.
