ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A crisis was averted at Atlanta’s airport Monday after police said Billy Cagle of Cartersville planned to shoot up the airport.

Police arrested Cagle after they said he made threats on social media to shoot up Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Police said family alerted police to Cagle’s posts, where they took quick action in arresting him.

According to police, he was charged with terroristic threats, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal attempt to commit aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
