MADISON, Wis. (Gray Media) - A man was charged on Monday in Dane County Circuit Court with stalking Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Jill Karofsky.
Authorities arrested Ryan Thornton, 37, in Racine County, and he was later booked in the Dane County Jail on Oct. 16. During the booking process, he told police, “If this is because of Jill, she is going down” and “F*** that b****,” according to the criminal complaint.
In the complaint, prosecutors outlined a series of emails Thornton sent to Justice Karofsky. In one email, he wrote, “Please EJECT YOURSELF FROM OFFICE.” In another, he wrote, “Call the capital police Jill…what a democrat idea tho.”
