Northern Utah's first Trader Joe's store is opening this week

RIVERDALE, Utah (ABC4) — Trader Joe's announced a new store will be opening in Northern Utah this week.

On Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, Trader Joe's will open a new store in Riverdale, Utah. The store is located at 4060 South Riverdale Road and will be the company's first location in Northern Utah.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. after a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"As a neighborhood grocery store, Trader Joe's prides itself on hiring from our local community," the company said in a press release. "The store hired more than 70 new crew members from surrounding areas and transferred in others from other Trader Joe's stores."

The store committed to donating 100% of products that go unsold to non-profit organizations, seven days a week.

The store will be open between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
