FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead area’s newest internet service provider has already started connecting some customers to its high-speed fiber internet.

Gateway Fiber, a fiber optic internet service provider, has started providing internet to some Fargo customers as it continues to expand its network in Fargo and, now, Moorhead.

According to Gateway Fiber Head of Governmental Affairs Derek Leffert, the Missouri-based company’s first Fargo customers started getting internet service this month. The company began installing in Fargo in late July or early August.

“So yeah, it’s happening,” Leffert said.

The company boasts flat-rate pricing and fast, reliable internet. Many people have copper-based internet service, with customers sharing bandwidth on copper lines, Leffert said. With fiber optic
