Governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh paid obeisance at Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines on Tuesday.

In Kedarnath, the government also performed a special Rudrabhishek prayer and sought blessings for welfare and prosperity of humanity and sustainable development of Uttarakhand.

He conducted an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction and development work at Kedarnath Dham. The officers informed the governor about the ongoing construction work at the shrine. They informed that most of the reconstruction work has been completed and the remaining work is in its final stages of completion. The governor also met the Teeth Purohits during the visit. The governor was informed that the construction of the buildings being built for the Teerth Purohits
