CROWN HEIGHTS — THIS THURSDAY, OCT. 23, BROOKLYN CHILDREN’S MUSEUM (BCM) IS OFFERING AN AFTERNOON OF HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS demonstrating how to make a big difference for planet earth. The BCM collaborated with the National Grid to celebrate Energy Awareness Month. Bright Habits Powered by National Grid, a free program from 2 to 5 p.m., runs as part of the museum’s community access hours on Thursday afternoons.
Through storytelling, hands-on experiments and creative play, kids will discover how everyday choices can make a real difference for the environment. The afternoon will feature two special read-aloud sessions: National Grid staff will read from eco-friendly children’s books at 2:30 p.m. At 3:30 p.m., author Charnaie Gordon will read from her book “A Planet Like Ours.”
