School is in full swing again, and parents are likely looking for places for their children to play sports and other games while connecting with their peers after classes.

The city of Glendale’s free REC on Wheels program returned for the season earlier this month at various parks.

With this outdoor recreation program, Glendale’s Parks and Recreation Department staff brings LEGO tables, flag football gear, baseball bases, basketballs, soccer nets, as well as cornhole and chess sets, along with other equipment.

The main goal of REC on Wheels is to inspire children to play to enhance their health and wellness.

Children may walk to the parks after school, or their parents may drop them off and/or pick them up at the REC on Wheels site. It is a drop-off program, where participants may play
