WASHINGTON — Toys "R" Us is expanding its comeback with more new stores coming this holiday season.
The iconic toy brand recently announced that it would open 30 new stores by the end of the year, with some of those stores now open for shoppers. The Toys "R" Us plans include eight flagship stores and more than 20 seasonal store locations.
Nine of the seasonal holiday shops listed in the Oct. 16 announcement are now open for shoppers.
Toys "R" Us filed for bankruptcy in 2017, and the company was eventually liquidated and sold to WHP Global in 2021. Since then, the new parent company has been aggressively rolling out new initiatives for the toy brand, including reopening stores in the U.S. The brand already operates global flagships at American Dream in New Jersey and Mall of Am
