Anne Wright Williams (Nelsen Funeral Home)

Anne Wright Williams, age 85, went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was the only child of the late John Spencer and Teresa Taylor Wright of Charleston, SC and Upper Montclair, NJ. In 2015, she was preceded in death by Charles, her beloved husband of 50 years.

Anne was a native of Charleston, SC. She was educated at Ashley Hall School for Girls in Charleston; Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia; and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Montclair.

She enjoyed a 45 year career as an executive assistant, especially the twenty years she served two Chairmen and CEOs of Sovran Financial Corporation and its predecessor institutions (1975-1991). She previously worked for W R Grace & Co., SC; WTAR Radio and Lawler
