REXBURG – Madison High School orchestras will showcase distinguished alumni musicians Tuesday in a performance of “The Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint Saens. The concert will happen tonight, Tuesday, October 21 at 7 p.m. at the Madison High School Performing Arts Center at 2300 University Boulevard, Rexburg. Admission is free, but donations are welcome, which will go toward funding the students’ competition in Orlando, Florida, in March.
“We have invited several special guests to be part of the final piece, which is ‘The Carnival of the Animals,’” says director Doug Hansen. “It is a really kid-friendly, fun piece that features two pianists as soloists, a narrator, a flute and clarinet solo, and lots of fun music that features the different sections of the orchestra.”
