MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The summer is over, as fall is upon us. The fall can be lethal to pets due to seasonal hazards that can potentially harm them.
To protect your pets from seasonal hazards, it’s certain procedures you must take, Neighborhood Vet official Carrie Cataldo says. The change in weather and table food can have an impact on the animal’s health.
“We have some different things that we have to focus on, the weather is starting to get cooler, we have to worry about those little kittie cats that might climb up in your car engine to stay warm,” Cataldo says. “When we start putting out decorations for Halloween and Thanksgiving, these animals are very curious. They can ingest those things. Some are toxic, some can just cause obstruction and other dangers.”
