The trial of a man who is accused of killing a Chattanooga mother in 2016 is expected to begin on Tuesday.

Andre Grier is charged in the death of 26-year-old Bianca Horton, whose body was found shot to death on the side of the road.

Police said Horton was a state witness who was set to testify in a trial connected to a shooting that killed a friend and left her daughter paralyzed.

Grier is one of three suspects in Horton's murder.

Courtney High pleaded guilty in his case and the third suspect, Charles Shelton, died of Covid-19 in September of 2021 while in jail.
