LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) — If you’ve ever boarded a plane last you know the feeling of walking past the people in nice seats at the front of the plane.
For today’s Good Question, Jeff asks: When boarding a plane, why does first class board first? It would make more sense to load the plane starting in the rear first.
According to travel and expense company Navan, first-class passengers board first to enjoy several benefits. They get access to overhead bins before they fill up and can settle into their seats with less stress. The travelers also avoid the congestion of general boarding by being seated before the rest of the crowd arrives.
First-class passengers are also first off the plane upon arrival.
Weight distribution concerns
