Julia Ann Hooper, 99 years of age, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at Dickson Health and Rehab in Dickson, TN. Born on May 27, 1926, in the same town to the late, Ervin and Mary Ann (Bowker) Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sherman Hooper, and her dear grandchildren John, Craig, and Rebecca Hooper, as well as her siblings Pearl Garrett Reep, Willie, Melvin, James “Slim”, Ewing, Allen, Robert, and Johnny Garrett. She is survived by her children, Roger (and wife Donna) Hooper, Larry Wayne Hooper, and Sharon Hooper; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Those who had the privilege to know Julia would describe her as loving, kind, strong willed and generous. She loved her family and most definitely, her grandchildren. As a devoted homemaker,
