LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The 12th annual Good Life Halfsy has officially sold out with just over 9,000 registrants, marking another record year for Nebraska’s largest road race.
Race organizers said Tuesday that this year’s number of participants is up more than 25% from last year’s 7,100 registrants.
“Runners keep telling their friends, and their friends bring their run clubs,” said Ben Cohoon, Good Life Halfsy co-director. “That groundswell of support this year will enjoy a net-downhill course that feels fast and celebratory. It’s a recipe for PRs, first-time finishers, and a signature event that people can plan their training around.”
This year, organizers worked with City of Lincoln officials to increase the width of road closures to give participants more room to run.
