It sounds like the Eagles will be without a key defensive player on Sunday vs. the Giants — which could accelerate Brandon Graham’s return from retirement .

On Tuesday, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio offered a grim outlook regarding the availability of edge rusher Azeez Ojulari after he suffered a hamstring injury vs. the Vikings.

Asked if Ojulari will be able to play against the Giants, Fangio said simply: “I don’t think so.”

Ojulari has recently emerged as an important player for a thin edge rusher group. The offseason signing was a healthy scratch for the Eagles’ first four games. But with starter Nolan Smith going on injured reserve on Sept. 25, Ojulari’s role expanded.

Ojulari played 34 snaps against the Broncos in Week 5, which was tied for the second-most among Eagles edge
