WASHINGTON — Workers at some of the District’s most popular venues – including the 9:30 Club, the Anthem, the Atlantis, and Lincoln Theatre – are organizing.

UNITE HERE Local 25 announced on Tuesday that IMP workers had begun the process of unionizing.

According to the union, its members delivered IMP management petitions on behalf of more than 300 organizing staff calling for card check agreements that they say create a “straightforward process to assess support for union representation without employer interference.”

According to union officials, IMP workers are subject to inconsistent schedules and juggle multiple jobs. In addition, some make just a little more than D.C.’s minimum wage.
