COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. — A Comstock Park man has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison after threatening to kill President Donald Trump back in January.
Richard James Spring had made comments on X and TikTok threatening violence against Trump, such as shooting him, in late January 2025.

Spring was charged with two counts of Threats to Kill and Injure the President, as well as two counts of Interstate Threatening Communication.
Spring pleaded guilty to the first count of Threats to Kill and Injure the President while the other three counts were dismissed.
