After struggling in the early part of their 2025 campaign, first-year head coach Morgan Johnson and her Manchester Lady Greyhounds volleyball team have showed steady improvement in the season’s second half, winning six of their last nine matches, including their opening district quarterfinal match.
The district win improved the Lady Hounds to 8-12 overall and came on the road at the expense of the New Boston Lady Tigers, who were actually seeded higher than the Lady Hounds. Those seedings were certainly off as the #10 seeded Manchester squad took the match in four sets- 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17. The win propelled the Lady Hounds into the Division VII district semifinals where they will face a much tougher task in #2 seeded Racine Southern. That match up took place on Tuesday, October 21
