RUSTON, La. —
A deadly plane crash has been reported Tuesday in Ruston, Louisiana, according to a report by KTVE 10.
According to KTVE 10, the Jackson Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a crash in a wooded area near Old Snipe Road. Advertisement
Officials received word from the Monroe Control Tower that it lost contact with a pilot flying a small aircraft.
One person was confirmed dead in the crash, according to Jackson Parish Sheriff Andy Brown. The pilot was the only person on board.
The pilot has not been identified.
This is the second plane crash in Louisiana on Tuesday. The first was reported in Lafayette Parish and killed three people.
