INDIANAPOLIS — Diabetes affects hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers and today, more than one in three adults have pre-diabetes but don’t know it.
So 13News sat down with Dr. Tyler Feldman of Franciscan Health to talk about what men in particular need to know.
“I definitely have a personal connection to it,” said Feldman, who was diagnosed with Diabetes at 14. “And I definitely have seen it with my patients too, just a lot of the nasty things that diabetes can do to a person and affect their quality of life. I tell people that diabetes is an annoying condition. It's burdensome, but so are the complications of diabetes. So if you get it controlled soon, fast, and you can prevent some of those complications, your quality of life will be better.”
