SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Farmers are in the heart of harvest season throughout the state.

Anthony Bly is a soil fields specialist with the SDSU Extension and also has a family farm. He said things are going fairly well.

"We haven't had huge weather delay at all," he said.

Bly said in the southeast portion of the state, soybean harvests are pretty much wrapped up. "I've heard talk of a couple of bean fields here and there, but it's pretty much over."

Adam Eichacker farms corn and soybeans near Salem. He wrapped up his soybean harvest last week. Corn, he says, should be finished in around three and half weeks.

"We saw the best of both worlds, a lot of soybeans matured very quickly and dried down very fast for us," Eichacker said.
