Louisiana’s film and television industry has slowed to a crawl , with no productions currently shooting anywhere in the state and only a thin slate ahead — a stark contrast to the boom years when multiple soundstages were booked year-round and Louisiana regularly ranked among the top film locations in the nation.
Film New Orleans, the city agency that promotes local production, lists just one upcoming project: Motion, a New Orleans–set crime thriller starring Tiffany Haddish, Bella Thorne, and Master P. Beyond that, only a handful of smaller independent projects are tentatively lined up for north Louisiana, including several in the Shreveport–Bossier area.
