AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Amarillo College is hosting its 23rd annual Day of the Dead Art Show, opening with a public reception on Oct. 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Common Lobby of the Amarillo College Washington Street Campus.
According to officials from AC, the show and reception honor the traditional Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, a celebration of life and memory, by featuring artwork done by AC students, faculty, and community. Officials add that the artwork is inspired by themes of remembrance, heritage, and connection.
