RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond has announced the launch of a new dashboard that aims to improve the transparency of its procurement functions.

According to a press release from the city, the dashboard aims to establish clear and accessible insights into the city's supervision of public funds.

"This is about building accountability and trust," said Richmond Mayor Danny Avula. "When Richmonders can see how we are using their hard-earned dollars to reinvest into their communities, it strengthens confidence in our government and helps us all to feel more connected to the work of serving our community."
