Huntsville city leaders and law enforcement are taking action to enhance safety on Binford Drive following a series of shootings.

Over the past year, there have been three shootings and one accidental shooting in the area, according to Huntsville Police.

City Councilman Bill Kling, representing District 4, walked through the neighborhood to showcase the efforts being made. He highlighted that trespass warnings are being issued to those who have caused trouble in the past, prohibiting them from returning.

"They issued what are known as trespass warnings which means that people who do not live here and have caused problems in the past are prohibited from being over here and if they are caught over here they are trespassing and they will immediately be arrested," Kling said.
