Chief Commissioner Mike Bush said he “will not be making the same mistake again” after using a Victoria Police helicopter to attend a conference in Tasmania, and admitted he should have taken a commercial flight.

Bush and a staff officer flew to Hobart on Monday in a police helicopter – generally used for police operations such as tracking stolen vehicles or missing person searches – to attend a police conference, where the helicopter has remained overnight.
