The stage is being set, and the countdown is on for one final showdown in the race for New York City mayor.
At 7 p.m. on Wednesday night, NY1 will host the second and final mayoral debate before New Yorkers head to the polls.
“The whole city is engaged, and that is why I think that this is the ‘Thrilla in Manila,’” political consultant JC Polanco said. “This is the most important debate that we’ve had in a very long time.”
Independent candidate Andrew Cuomo, Democrat Zohran Mamdani and Republican Curtis Sliwa will spar in the 90-minute live televised debate.
Hosted at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in Queens, the candidates will have the opportunity to ask each other a question, and there will be a lightning round.
“I’m ready,” Sliwa said. “I always prepare by going into the sub
