ST. HELENA ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) - The family of one of the victims of a St. Helena Island shooting earlier this month is mourning their loss and begging the community to help investigators solve the crime.

When Amos Ramon Gary went to work a security guard shift to earn extra money for his family on Oct. 12, his family had no idea he wouldn’t be coming back home.

Gary, 54, was one of the four people who were killed at the scene at a St. Helena Island mass shooting.

The other three victims were Kashawn Glaze, 22, of Beaufort; Sherrod Smalls, 33, of Beaufort; and A’shan’tek Milledge, 22, of Burton.

The shooting occurred at Willie’s Bar and Grill on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and injured 16 other people. The family of Gary, who they also call “Junior,” says that while the entire fami
